Japanese Maples are one of the most impressive plants in the plant kingdom, and as you will discover here, I have a bit of a passion for them. Enjoy my Japanese Maple Collection!

I have to apologize for the audio part of this video.  The little camera that I was using will not accept an external microphone so the wind was causing some issues while I was recording.  In the future I’ll shoot a better video because since this was shot my trees have grown and my collection has grown considerably.  -Mike McGroarty

Love the landscape designs. I LIVE in Wisconsin. Since I needed to cut two oak trees down due to rotting of age, my front yard is bare. Can the waterfall Japanese version and a red color version do well in full sunlight?

Mike: I have 4 Ornamental pear trees that need trimming. I tried to trim before and nearly killed them even though I only trimmed very few branches. How do I trim these and when is the best time to do it? They are full grown trees that need some work and I don’t want damage them again. Need your help please. Thank you Sir.

      Gaylord,

Normal pruning should not damage a tree. However, the best time, the safest time to prune anything is when they dormant. After Thanksgiving.
